After four days of competition, the 2010 National Vovinam Cup closed on the evening of August 15.

 

The tournament absorbed nearly 230 martial artists from 24 Vovinam clubs in 19 provinces and cities who competed for 38 sets of medals in performance and combat events.

 

Finally, HCM city topped the medal tally with 11 gold medals,  4 silver medals and 4 bronze medals, followed by the Army with 4 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 3 bronze medals and Can Tho with 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

 

Binh Duong also had a good performance at the tournament with 4 silver medals and 7 bronze medals, ranking 13th among 19 participating teams.

 

Following the tournament, Vovinam artists nationwide will begin their training period in preparation for the 6th National Sports Festival to be held in Can Tho city in September ahead.
