BVF works impressively and effectively

Binh Duong provincial Vovinam Federation (BVF) had a successful year and was seen as one of Vietnam Vovinam Federation’s role-models. This was the assessment of Master Nguyen Van Chieu, Head of the Vovinam Managing Masters’Council, Vice-Chairman cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Vovinam Federation (VVF) at a conference reviewing BVF’s activities in 2015.

Master Bui Dang Hong Nhung, General Secretary of BVF said that BVF was set up in Dec.2012 with 30 clubs and 1,200 learners. As of late 2015, the movement of Vovinam was promoted across the province with 56 clubs with 3,500 learners and 112 coaches.

In 2015, the province’s Vovinam teams competed in national tournaments, including the National Vovinam Tournament for Strong Clubs, the National Junior Vovinam Tournament, the National Vovinam Championships and won 23 various medals. Especially, provincial Department of Education and Training brought Vovinam to schools, actively contributing to promoting this form of martial art.

Master Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Chairman of BVF said that BVF made efforts in preparing for a project on teaching Vovinam at schools with the great support of provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism, Department of Home Affairs. So far, the project has upheld its efficiency and received support from schools at all levels of the province. Based on this, Vovinam is selected as one of official events at the 2016 provincial Phu Dong sports festival to be held in March ahead.

According to Nguyen Phu Yen, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism, BVF is one of the province’s sports federations working methodically and effectively with qualified leaders like Mr.Hiep. With the integral efforts by masters, coaches, athletes and learners, BVF has reached depth and width-in development and actually became a role-model of Binh Duong’s sports sector.

On this occasion, outstanding individuals and collectives were also awarded the certificates of merit of VVF (photo) and provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their excellent performance in the local movement of Vovinam in 2015.
