Central students receive Vallet scholarships

A total of 397 pupils and students with good study results in the central provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh have received Vallet scholarships worth over VND1.6 billion in total. 

The Quang Binh Study Encouragement Society and the organisation Rencontres du Vietnam (Meeting Vietnam) granted the scholarships to the targeted pupils and students at a ceremony held in Quang Binh on August 27. 

Accordingly, each of the pupils received a scholarship worth VND4 million and each student got VND6 million. 

Prof. Odon Vallet, a history lecturer at the Paris-based Sorbonne University, France, set up the Odon Vallet Foundation to grant scholarships to poor students who achieve outstanding results in study and scientific research in France and Vietnam.
