Culture, sports and tourism sector of Binh Duong province accelerates progress, develops quickly and sustainably

On January 3, in Hanoi, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference to summarize works in 2023 and set forth tasks for 2024. The conference was transmitted online to 63 locations nationwide. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and chaired the conference. At Binh Duong endpoint, Bui Huu Toan, Director of Provincial Department of Culture Sports & Tourism, and representatives of the industry.

In presentation at the conference on "Promoting effectiveness in developing high-performance sports of Binh Duong province", Bui Huu Toan, Director of Department of Culture Sports & Tourism, said that in 2023, Binh Duong sports participated in 145 tournaments, gained 692 medals of all kinds at all levels. In the international arena, many Binh Duong athletes took turns writing their names in history by becoming world champions. Binh Duong has 5 world championships in the following subjects: Billiards, chess, bodybuilding, pétanque and Muay. Toan also proposed some constructive ideas in physical education and sports to contribute to the development of sports and physical education.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh appreciated the results achieved by the Culture Sports & Tourism industry in 2023; and requested in the coming time, the Culture and Sports & Tourism industry would create a breakthrough and accelerate progress to develop quickly and sustainably.
