Vietnamese entrepreneurs help not only develop the nation but also improve the living conditions of the people and contribute to social activities, such as charity work and poverty reduction, said State President Nguyen Minh Triet.

 

At a festival “Vietnamese entrepreneurs with Hoa Lu-Thang Long-Hanoi: 1,000th year of construction and sustainable development” held at the My Dinh National Convention Hall on March 4, Mr Triet highly praised the organising board and 1,000 entrepreneurs for organizing meaningful festival to mark the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi. He affirmed that Vietnam’s economy is developing well, even during the global economic crisis. This is the success of the whole nation, including entrepreneurs who are constantly growing and flourishing not only at home but also abroad, he added.

 

Mr Triet said 2010 will see a number of challenges but with their valuable experience, entrepreneurs together with their people will overcome these difficulties to develop the nation strongly to put it on par with developed countries.

 

Dang Thanh Tam, CEO of the Saigon Invest Group (SGI) promised that the entrepreneurs will fulfill the mandate it has been given by the Party and State.

 

On the occasion, Phung Huu Phu, deputy head of the Central Commission of Propaganda and Training, presented 1,000 scholarships to representatives of the Hanoi and Ninh Binh Departments of Education and Training.

 

Many other entrepreneurs also handed over hundreds of scholarships to economically and outstanding students.
