Exciting and attractive Arts - Sports Festival of cultural - sports center of communes, wards and towns

Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and TDM City Culture Information – Sports Center has co-organized an Arts - Sports Festival of cultural - sports center of communes, wards and towns in 2016. This was an opportunity for units to release their achievements in the organization of activities serving local political tasks.

In a joyful atmosphere celebrating the 71^st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (Aug 19^th 1945 - Aug 19^th 2016) and National Day (Sep 2^nd 1945 - Sep 2^nd 2016), the festival attracted the participation of more than 300 officials, actors, athletes of 9 cultural - sports centers across the province in competitions, like performances, sports, exhibition propaganda. In addition elaborately staged performances, participants selected the most beautiful photos of political, economic, defense, security activities at their locality. To be more vivid and beautiful, many units decorated impressively, gave attractive presentations. This expressed sentiments and efforts of cultural sport sector’s officials in developing provincial socio-economic growth.

Winners of the festival 

Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung, Director of Thuan An Town Culture Information and Sports Center, said he was so excited, because this year the participants had paid more attention to content and quality of performances, selected excellent athletes to take part in running, tug war competition, and diverse and abundant photos for exhibition. Through competitions, they had the opportunity to exchange and share experiences with each other in organizing activities at their locality, contributing to meeting the cultural and recreation needs of the people.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Xuan, Director of provincial Culture – Movies Center, said the purpose of the festival was to review the quality of grassroots cultural –sports institutions’ operation to serve local political tasks and meet the cultural and sport enjoyment needs of the people. This is an essential need for the comprehensive development of the sector, and a foundation for the province to set up investment planning and give directions.

At the end of the festival, TDM City Culture Information – Sports Center excellently won the first team prize of the art and performance competition. The first prize of exhibition propaganda went to Thuan An Town Culture Information – Sports Center. First prize of tug war competition belonged to Dau Tieng District Culture Information – Sports Center. First prize of women’s running team to TDM City Culture Information – Sports Center. In addition, the organizers also awarded first, second, third prizes to excellent individuals and units at the festival.
