Former State President hopeful for good news from Binh Duong Province

On October 14, former State President, Mr. Tran Duc Luong had a working visit to Binh Duong Province to investigate the strength of local economy and society against challenges and obstacles of economic status in the province and foreign markets. Former State President Tran Duc Luong (second from right) has a look on a model of economic development of VSIP Receiving the former State President was permanent Deputy Secretary of local Party Committee cum Chair of Provincial People’s Council, Mr. Vu Minh Sang and Deputy Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Van Nam who have reported on implemented measures to stabilize the economy to ensure reasonable growth rate, control inflation, remove obstacles barring production and business under government’s direction.In generally difficult circumstances, the provincial economy has eyed positive growth.Total production has increased by 10% comparing to previous term. Industrial production value reached VND 100,000 billion with exportation revenue of USD 9.8 billion, importation revenue USD 7.8 billion. By September 30, foreign investment value was estimated at USD 1.156 billion.Social welfare matters have been of good care while education quality of the academic sectors keep improving. Public healthcare has been ensured. Duties of national defense and military have been launched across localities in depth and effectiveness. Local live hood has been improving.The former State President highly appreciated and was delight at the achievements of Binh Duong Province in the face of general difficulties of domestic and global economies.He reminded that the province should take more care for rural areas where the Party and State have been particularly taken care of.He was very hopeful for more good news on his next visit.It was expected that, the former State President should be on visit to key economic establishments of the province.Reported by H.
