Get-together to celebrate 93rd anniversary of Vietnam Women's Union held

Early October 20, provincial Women's Union held a get-together to celebrate the 93rd founding anniversary of Vietnam Women's Union and 13 years of Vietnamese Women's Day at Vinh Loi War Zone in Tan Uyen city.

The event was attended by Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda-Education Commission; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People's Council; former leaders of armed units, Women's Resistance Association; provincial Women's Union over periods...

Speaking at the get-together, Mr. Nhan said that over the past time, Binh Duong women were always present in all fields of social life, from Party leadership, State management, economic management to emulation movements, social activities... Provincial Women's Union levels at all levels had many outstanding programs, bringing practical benefits to the local women. He hopes that in the coming time, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels will further implement and improve the quality of emulation movements in association with "Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's moral example"; actively advise the Party Committee on organizing the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 11/BCT on women's work in the period of national industrialization and modernization...

At the get-together, provincial Club of Retired Female Cadres and Women's Union congratulated aunts aged at 80, 75, and 70 on their longevity. Provincial Women's Union presented gifts and flowers to aunts who are former presidents, vice presidents of the association, female soldiers, and retired officers in charge of provincial Women's Union. On this occasion, designer Mai Thi Hong Le sewed and donated 60 sets of ao dai worth VND 100 million to officials and civil servants of provincial Women's Union, leaders of the Women's Unions of 9 districts, towns, cities and units…

*On the occasion of the 93rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union, the 13^th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20, the Trade Union of provincial education-training sector organized a culinary contest, with the participation of 50 units. Each unit cooked a meal for 10 people at least 3 main dishes. Women in each unit prepared a tray of rice full of nutrients, ensuring food safety and hygiene, with beautiful decoration. The contest was an opportunity for educational institutions in the province to exchange, tighten solidarity and help each other complete assigned tasks.

*On the same day, the Trade Union of provincial healthcare sector organized a culinary festival with the theme of "Vietnamese Delicacies", attracting 26 teams with 130 contestants representing 27 trade union locals. Over 100 delicious dishes were made by teams at the contest.
