Binh Duong has been known as one of the provinces with the strongest economic development speed in the South. Furthermore, Binh Duong is also a land of glorious history and traditional culture. Many historical, cultural, and scenic places in the province have been ranked and recognized in recent years, along with traditional craft villages, folk festivals, newly invested tourist attractions and areas...  All have created a distinctive image of Binh Duong and are promising a strong breakthrough in tourism development in the future...

Many strengths

Binh Duong is a province in the Southeast region, with geographical location adjacent to many provinces and cities (the east borders Dong Nai province, the north borders Binh Phuoc province, the west borders Tay Ninh province and part of Ho Chi Minh City, the south borders Ho Chi Minh City and part of Dong Nai province). Due to the advantage of geographic location and the policy of investment attraction, many domestic and foreign investors have been chosen Binh Duong province to develop business. Many industrial parks and clusters with thousands of companies have gradually formed in the area, and Binh Duong has become a dynamic economic environment with strong industrial development. This is considered a good condition for service sector in the province to grow, including tourism.

In addition to the impressions of a dynamic economic developing area in recent years, Binh Duong has also attracted many people by its historical, cultural and scenic sites with unique characteristics. At present, Binh Duong province has 60 historical and cultural monuments which were recognized and ranked; including 13 national monuments and 47 provincial monuments. This is one of tourism development strengths that have been efficiently exploiting and promoting its values.

In the formation and development process, many craft villages with a lifetime of hundreds of years also formed in Binh Duong. Some remarkable craft villages of Binh Duong province are: Ceramic and porcelain in Lai Thieu (Tan An City) and Tan Phuoc Khanh (Tan Uyen Town); carpentry and wood carving in Chanh Nghia, Phu Tho; lacquer in Tuong Binh Hiep (Thu Dau Mot City), rattan and bamboo, etc. From the skillful hands of artisans, many products in these villages have been famous, forming brand names belonged to Binh Duong, like: Minh Long, Cuong Phat, Nam Viet ceramics, Dai Hung kiln, Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer... These products serve demands of not only local people but also the whole country and the world. Many products of the craft villages were selected by governmental agencies and departments in the province as gifts for honor guests or souvenirs for tourists coming to Binh Duong.

The province has soon formed tourist areas with beautiful landscapes of the province, such as: Cau Mountain - Dau Tieng reservoir, Chau Thoi Mountain ... A peaceful Binh Duong is also known and associated with fruit orchards planted and tended by local people. In particular, the most well-known orchards are Lai Thieu orchard (Thuan An City) with specialties like mangosteen, durian, jackfruit; or grapefruit gardens in Bach Dang (Tan Uyen Town), orange tangerine in Hieu Liem (North Tan Uyen District) ...

Growing

At the beginning of every new year, domestic and foreign tourists are especially impressed as immersing themselves in Ba Thien Hau Festival in Thu Dau Mot City. This is a folklore festival held every year on the full moon of lunar January, attracting the participation of thousands of visitors from many places. Over the years, lunar January Full-moon Festival in Binh Duong has been associated with a free festival by many people. In addition, the friendliness, courtesy and hospitality of Binh Duong people leave good impressions on the hearts of visitors when coming to this festival. This is truly a unique tourist product of Binh Duong.

Along with the economic growth, resorts and tourist sites have received attention and investment to satisfy the demand for sightseeing, entertainment and relaxation in the province, for example, tourist sites of Dai Nam, Thuy Chau, Phuong Nam Resort; Green Din Ky, An Lam, Sai Gon River, Saigon Park Resort, Dot Champa, Phu An Bamboo Village... These destinations not only serve local people but also attract numerous tourists from other regions to Binh Duong every year.
