The second Green Technology Journalism Awards contest which aims to honour journalists for excellent reporting on energy efficiency, industrial productivity or sustainability issues has been launched by Siemens Group. 

The contest is open to all professional journalists who write for print or the online media in the ASEAN region, Australia and New Zealand.

Each participant must submit three articles no latter than June 30, which should be themed on topics related to green technology applications in any of three areas, including Vertical IT and Software, Future of Energy and Sustainable City Infrastructure.

The articles must be published during the qualifying period January 1, 2012 to June 15, 2013 in the mainstream media including newspapers, magazines, or another widely recognised news portal. They will be judged in English, so journalists are encouraged to include their own translation for those reports which are written in non-English.

Entries will be evaluated according to their news value and the journalist’s writing and language skills. Registration details and more information are available at http://www.siemens.com.vn/SGTJA2013.

The winners will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to visit and study on sustainable development in Europe, and are to be announced in September.
