Ha Noi tops 2011 national young Chinese chess champs

After over 10 days of competition, the 2011 National Young Chinese Chess Championship ended at the Lac Canh Dai Nam Van Hien Tourist Complex on July 21.

 

Finally, Ha Noi topped the tournament with 27 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 15 bronze medals, followed by HCM city with 21 gold medals, 25 silver medals, 15 bronze medals; Dong Thap with 4 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 15 bronze medals.

 

Host team Binh Duong was also in the top 10 ranking of most excellent teams with 2 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

 

This year’s tournament absorbed more than 1,460 young players aged 7 and 20 from 30 cities and provinces, the highest figure so far. They competed in the three events: standard, rapid and blitz.
