On July 19, the Tuoi Tre (Young Age) newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Television Centre, Binh Dien Fertilizer Company and Vietnam Golf introduced the third annual golf tournament scheduled to take place at the Thu Duc golf-course in Ho Chi Minh City on July 23.

 

 The event is expected to attract 144 domestic and foreign golfers. 

 The golf tournament has raised more than VND4 billion to support poor students after the three-year launch.

 The money, donated by individuals, organisations and businesses, will be delivered to 800 new students in the north, the Central Highlands and 13 provinces in the Mekong River Delta.

 Each scholarship worth VND5 million aims to help poor students who made great efforts to pass this year’s university entrance examinations.
