In 2013, the Hanoi Transport Corporation will try to maintain or increase the number of customers using buses, and continue applying science and technology in bus system management.

The statement was made by representative from the Hanoi Transport Corporation at a press briefing held in Hanoi by the Hanoi City Party Committee Commission of Popularization and Education.

Accordingly, the Hanoi Transport Corporation will continue to invest in installing LED signboards in several key bus routes and bus stations.

Cameras will be installed at several bus routes to improve service quality. The corporation will coordinate with Hanel Electric Company to invest in a smartcard system to gradually replace monthly and single tickets, in order to control revenue and improve service quality.

 The Corporation will also increase bus trips over the Tet holidays to serve the high number of passengers returning home for Tet and back to the city to work./.
