Teachers’ great responsibility is to train generations of students with high capacity and knowledge to integrate into intellectual society. Therefore, teachers should positively improve their knowledge. Over the past years, the provincial sector of Education and Training has facilitated teachers’ knowledge improvement for the sake of quality of teaching and learning.  Duong Chau elite teacher of Nguyen Trai high school in Thu Dau Mot city always dedicates to pupils.

Training work has been constantly paid attention by local sector of education and training. Annually, the sector sends hundreds of cadres, teachers and employees to join in long-term training classes on educational management, foreign language and information technology.

Duong The Phuong, director of the provincial department of Education and Training said that the sector has offered favorable conditions for cadres and teachers to pursue training classes in a bid to improve the quality of management and teaching.

Implementing a fostering program for high schools’ headmasters under cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, Binh Duong has 256 headmasters and managerial cadres participating in the program. The participants enjoy 7 subjects of leadership and managerial renovation, schooling culture, promotion of sources for development and so on. According to the sector’s assessment, the program participants have changed their thought, outlook and orientated schools’ goal and development in the present and future.

To launch a project of improving quality of English teaching at high schools, the sector has assigned hundreds of teachers to join in training classes at the Eastern International University. Meanwhile, the sector’s affiliates have launched plans to foster professional knowledge for teachers. Specifically, Thu Dau Mot city division of Education and Training has cooperated with Bolt Institute to foster knowledge for English language teachers of primary and secondary schools.

Aside from sending teachers to training classes, teachers have been encouraged to improve professional knowledge by their own. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, headmaster of An My high school in Thu Dau Mot city said that every teacher in this school sets out measures to renovate teaching and learning. They have positive orientations in self-learning and improving their skills.

Besides, summer vacation is the time for teachers to join in the training classes. From June to July of every year, the local department of Education and Training holds fostering classes for teachers.

One of key tasks of the sector is to take care of developing teacher staff and educational cadres. In this school year, the sector continues to foster teacher at all levels as well as launch occupational standards for teachers and headmasters.
