Industrial production continues growing

Year 2017 continued to be a successful year for the Binh Duong industry. Key production areas of Binh Duong have grown impressively, rising to the 4th position in the country and continue to make a great contribution to the development of the locality. With many favorable conditions, this year Binh Duong's industry is expected to continue to grow strongly.

In 2017, the industrial production situation in the province develops steadily; businesses maintain good production and activities, growth rate, and actively implement the solutions to promote production, quality improvement, cost reduction and market development. Specifically, the industrial development index of the province reached 10.98%. This is an increase in the top of the nation.

Notably, up to 23 out of 25 major industrial products of the province increased compared to 2016 and up to 11 groups increased by more than 10%, such as other semiconductor devices by 18.3%, milk and cream by 17.3%, other parts of motor vehicles by 17.3%, boxes, cardboard boxes by 15.7%. There are 2 out of 25 products decreased compared to last year, milk and cream powder by 2.2%, crude steel by 0.5%.

Year 2018 is considered to include many advantages to develop industrial production in the country in general and in Binh Duong province in particular when some large markets recover well, the traditional export markets of Vietnam is expected for strong growth. Therefore, Binh Duong aims to maintain the growth rate of industrial production by over 9%.

In January 2018, industrial production index of the province increased 5.13% compared to December 20, 2017 and increased to 24.19% over the same period in 2017. Notably, the manufacturing and processing industry increased by 5.16% over the previous month and 24.31% over the same period last year. In terms of component indicators, in January 2018, 23 out of 25 industrial products increased mainly compared to the previous month and 2 out of 25 products decreased compared to the previous month. 6.78% of food for aquaculture (down by 1.74%); 25 out of 25 industrial products mainly increased over the same period, of which products increased as chemical paint increased 59,07%, powdered milk and cream of all kinds increased 43,89%, yarn increased 42, 75%, semiconductor devices up 40.05% ... Thus, there are many grounds to affirm that in 2018 Binh Duong industry continues to show good power.

Over the past years, Binh Duong has step by step chosen and focused on attracting investment projects with technical level, modern production technology, especially big projects for industrial and urban development, and high quality service. Most of the domestic and foreign investment in Binh Duong in recent years has been mainly concentrated in the industrial sector, which indicates the rapid development of this key industry. As a result, the province's industry develops in depth, creating motivation for urban development, service and trade in the area.

Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee said that Binh Duong would continue to implement the scheme on industrial restructuring and plans for cleaner production in industry. In addition, the production enterprises in the area must also use energy resources, raw materials, protect and improve the quality of the environment, ensuring sustainable development.

For the industry to develop in depth, Binh Duong will continue to prioritize the development of supporting industries, spearhead industries, processing and manufacturing, supplying raw materials and auxiliary materials, raising the localization rate of products and industrial products. Binh Duong will also develop a plan to gradually transform the capacity of industrial parks and clusters in the south of the province in line with urban development planning and services. Especially, the province will focus on implementing the roadmap for development of industrial parks under the Prime Minister's guidelines.
