Industrial production regains

After more than a month of returning to normal, the province's socio-economy has gradually recovered and made many positive changes. The industrial production sector has prospered again, making an important contribution to the province's growth goals, especially creating jobs and stable incomes for workers.

Production recovery accelerated

This year, Dong A Joint Stock Company is expected to achieve revenue of VND 14,000 billion, higher than VND 12,500 billion of last year. Immediately after establishing the new normal operating status, the company quickly reorganized production and business activities while ensuring safety in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic with determination to achieve the growth target in the last months of the year. Mr. Ho Song Ngoc, Deputy General Director of Dong A Joint Stock Company, shared that thanks to the policy of allowing employees to stay and work at enterprises during the outbreak of Covid-19, the company conserved human resources and maintained production to meet the needs of partners. “Entering a new phase, the company has had nearly 100% of employees return to work. The Covid-19 prevention is strictly controlled, the production of the factories is relatively stable as the output is 65,000 - 68,000 tons a year with the capacity of 100%. Products are mainly exported to the US and Europe”, said Mr. Ho Song Ngoc.

Similarly, to restore all production and business activities, Tubo Vina Company, Bau Bang Industrial Park is trying to overcome the negative impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in the previous months by practicing to restore production, prepare raw materials, and reorganize human resources to promptly meet year-end orders. Mr. Sang Jun Lee, General Director of Tubo Vina Company, said that due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the company's revenue in the third quarter of 2021 decreased as compared to the same period in 2020. But starting from the 4th quarter of 2020, the company has received many more large orders. Therefore, as soon as the province returns to normal, the company has determined to speed up production and strictly implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Head of the Management Board of Binh Duong provincial Industrial Parks, said that right after establishing the new normal operating status, enterprises in the province's industrial zones quickly reorganized their production and business activities to ensure safety and to regain economic growth. Up to now, nearly 2,000 enterprises accounting for nearly 96% of enterprises in industrial parks of the province have restored production and business operations. The number of employees returning to work in the above companies is 373,000 people or 76.38% of total working force.

Many proactive measures

The business community and industrial production establishments in the province in the past time have been proactively upholding the spirit of overcoming difficulties to adapt to the situation and maintaining production and stabilizing jobs for workers. According to Department of Industry and Trade, all sectors of the economy are entering a state of normal operations as industrial production has prospered and gradually regained high growth momentum in October.

In order to promote the development of industrial production in the minor remaining time of the year, Department of Industry and Trade is focusing on reviewing and promptly removing difficulties for product industries and projects in the industrial sector, especially the processing and manufacturing industry in order to improve production capacity and expand the scale of production and business operations. At the same time, local Department of Industry and Trade cooperates with other departments, agencies and sectors to keep on strong development of industrial parks and clusters to be more proactive in the supply of domestic raw materials. It has also proposed appropriate preferential policies, first of all, for the province's key industries of furniture, textiles, footwear, and industries heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. It has also included a mechanism to encourage the production of components and intermediate products in the country to replace imports.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of Department of Industry and Trade, said that restoring production and taking advantage of current market opportunities is of great significance to enterprises in winning large orders and keeping customers for those who need to purchase goods next year. In the coming time, businesses need to adapt to the new normal and resume production chains in addition to focusing on Covid-19 control. Department of Industry and Trade will continue to closely monitor the situation of industrial production to guide industrial parks, clusters and businesses to plan for restoring production and business operations according to each level of the epidemic situation, making efforts to maintain a healthily growing level of the industry.
