Joining hands to help children going to school

A new school year has begun with many wishes to go to school of children. Dau Tieng district Young Pioneer Council (YPC) has been with children, especially disadvantaged children and conducted campaigns to help children going to school in the last school year. Dau Tieng district Young Pioneer Council rewarded 30 scholarships of program “Lighting up Dau Tieng children’s dream” For beloved childrenAt the beginning of the new school year, Dau Tieng district YPC summarized its activities and movements of children in the district. Apart from achievements from movements, like: “Vietnamese children competing in 5 uncle Ho’s taught things realizing”, “Thousand of good actions”, “Lighting up Vietnamese children’s dream” etc., the program “For beloved children” brought many practical results. The YPC cooperated with agencies, organizations, benefactors to offer gifts worth totally over VND78mln to 283 disadvantaged pupils on occasion of new school year. YPC’s staff has taken care and gave gifts and scholarships worth VND50mln to 56 disadvantaged pupils. 7th-grade pupil Nguyen Thieu Khang of Minh Hoa secondary school (Dau Tieng district) is an example of overcoming difficulty to learn well. Khang is in a poor family, but has achieved excellent learning results in 6 consecutive years and some prizes, such as: first prize of district’s English contest, first prize of online Mathematics, B prize of Children brush contest, first prize of excellent Young Pioneer leaders, provincial Ho Van Men prize. Thanks to these scholarships, Khang can go to school to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor.Helping friends going to schoolIn the last school year, district YPC mobilized contributions from economic entities to set up fund “Helping friends overcoming difficulties”, “For disadvantaged friends” supporting over 600 poor pupils, combined with provincial Youth Pioneer Organization, Nam Truong Son Company and Kapersy Company to reward 20 bicycles, 220 notebooks, 305 gifts worth totally VNĐ2mln to poor pupils learning well.Vice Chairman of Dau Tieng YPC Nguyen Van Cuong evaluated that YCP’s activities generated positive effects, drew participation of majority pupils, and expressed that the YPC would promote its role to coordinate with other organizations to take care and help children going to school.In the last summarizing meeting, district YPC rewarded disadvantaged pupils with 30 scholarships worth VND500,000 each of program “Lighting up Dau Tieng district’s dreams”, conferred credits of district People’s Committee on 4 good collectives and 21 individuals.Reported by Thu Thuy – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
