Jubilant and meaningful “Homeland Melodies”

Evening 23rd September, the cultural show named “Homeland Melodies” took place at provincial Culture – Movies Center. The show was well staged, created a joyful atmosphere to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the Southern Resistance Day (23rd Sept 1945 – 23rd Sept 2014).

The event was hosted by provincial Culture – Movies Center in coordination with TDM City Women’s Union. Youth Union’s members, young people, pupils, students, civil servants within the province came to enjoy the show. The show aroused patriotic pride among people through man performances such as “Vinh quang To quoc ta” (Our glorious fatherland), “Gio long bon phuong” (Rising wind everywhere), “Mua xuan DK” (DK spring), “Truong Sa – Hoang Sa vung len” (Paracel and Spratly rise up), “Ve voi Dien Bien” (Returing to Dien Bien), “Binh Duong thanh pho tre” (the young Binh Duong City) and many more performed by provincial Poetry club, Children cultural house’s dance groups, and singers under provincial Culture – Movies Center.

 

In addition, there were exchange discussions with two typical young female representatives of “two good” movement in the province. They were Ms. Phan Thi Trang, who is Quarter 2 Party cell’s member, and head of Quarter 2 Women Union branch of Phu Hoa ward, and Ms. Vo Thi Hai Yen, who is Deputy Secretary of Phu Cuong ward Union branch. Through their own stories, audiences could understand difficulties, enthusiasm as well as dreams of TDM City and Binh Duong province women.

 

The event inspired patriotic pride in people, thereby reinforced women’s role in the period of industrialization and modernization.
