Binh Duong Newspaper wins B prize at 18th National Press Awards 2023

On the evening of June 21, the 18th National Press Awards ceremony was solemnly held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi. Politburo member and State President To Lam attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony. The event was also attended by Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda-Education Commission; Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Information and Communications; Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda-Education Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Chairman of the Council for the 18th National Press Awards 2023.

According to the organizers, the 18th National Press Awards 2023 received over 1,900 journalistic works from central and local press agencies. After evaluation, 165 works entered the final round of the competition. The council discussed and voted to select 10 A prizes, 26 B prizes, 45 C prizes, and 41 consolation prizes. The highlight of the 18th National Press Awards 2023 was many works seriously and meticulously invested in, with contents that identified new issues, critiqued major policies of the Party and State, and proposed many creative solutions and good ways with widespread impacts on the society. Many works demonstrated professionalism, attraction and the breath of modern journalism.

Participating in the 18th National Press Awards 2023, Binh Duong Newspaper won a B prize with the work of “Sowing 'Red Seeds' in FDI Enterprises” (3 episodes), in the form of electronic journalism by the group of authors, namely Do Trong, Thai Phong, Ky Tan and Hoang Anh. After being published, the work received deep attention from Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, cadres and Party members in the province, contributing to propaganda, creating positive effects and raising awareness of Party development work among employers, trade unionists and workers in FDI enterprises in the province.
