Le Van Duan wins first stage of Mekong Delta Cycling Tour 2014

With his excellent performance, Le Van Duan of HCM city won the first stage with a total time of 1:38:08 and average speed of 41.576km/hour. Tran Van Quyen of the Zone Military 7 finished second while Mai Nguyen Hung of HCM city came third.

HCM city took the lead in team rankings with a total time of 4:54:24. It was followed by Gao Hat Ngoc Troi and ADC-Vinh Long Television.

Today, cyclists will continue their second stage from Tra Vinh city to Lap Vo township in Dong Thap province with a total length of 128km.

It is known that the 23rd tour will go through 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta, with eight stages spanning over 781km.
