Leaders of Di An, Ben Cat visit Buddhist dignitaries on the occasion of Vu Lan festival 2014

Leaders of Di An town yesterday organized two delegations to visit and present gifts to Buddhist dignitaries at 12 town-based pagodas on the occasion of the Vu Lan festival 2014.

 

At the visiting places, the delegations wished Buddhist dignitaries, nuns, monks and followers a peaceful and happy Vu Lan season while acknowledging their contributions to national construction and development. The delegations also wanted that the Buddhist community would further join hands with the local government to well realize targets on socio-economic development.

Di An town now has 38 Buddhist facilities with more than 1,800 nuns and monks. Over the past time, the local authorities at all levels always created favorable conditions for Buddhist facilities to organize religious activities in accordance with the law.

*The same day, leaders of Ben Cat town’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gifts to Buddhist dignitaries at pagodas, namely Hung Nghien, Phuoc Thien…on the occasion of the Vu Lan festival 2014.

At the visiting places, leaders of the town wished Buddhist dignitaries, nuns, monks and followers a peaceful and happy Vu Lan season while wanting that they together with locals would continue upholding achievements done over the past time and promoting the national great unity bloc.
