Ly Hoang Nam and a "harvest" season at Men's Futures Vietnam F9

Tennis player Ly Hoang Nam of Becamex Binh Duong has added the 3^rd championship cup to his achievement collection, after taking the championship of men's doubles event at Men's Futures Vietnam F9 that ended on Nov 6 in TDM City.

19-year-old player trained by Becamex Binh Duong had a memorable final match with his partner Ti Chen (Taiwan) with different emotions and dramatic action scenes. Ti Chen had earned 19 singles’ championship titles, men's doubles titles, including 4 championships of Challenge tournaments. Before the final, Hoang Nam reaped resounding victories without any obstacles. This couple advanced into the finals without ever losing any match. Meanwhile, their Korean opponent Ju Hae Moon / Sang Woo Noh (No. 4 seed) were not highly appreciated in terms of individual player and coordination ability compared with Hoang Nam / Ti Chen (No. 1 seed of the tournament).

In the 1^st game, Hoang Nam / Ti Chen easily won 6-2. However, in the 2^nd, as Hoang Nam / Ti Chen took lead with 3-1, it started to rain, the game was paused in about 25 minutes. After the rain, the situation changed, the Korean couple played very well and won 6-4 to tie the match 1-1. Thus, the final match of men's doubles event had to step into the 3^rd set played in super tiebreak.  The suspense reached its peak, because the Korean couple was very excited after a spectacular winning at the 2^nd set. Conversely, Hoang Nam / Ti Chen faced psychological pressure for good coordination and winning first points in the super tiebreak to stop the excitement of their rival.

Experiences and bravery of Ti Chen (33 years old) blended with youth, smart way of playing of Hoang Nam (19 years old), especially in coordinative actions, helped this couple took lead 3-0 and then 6-0. Then the Korean couple stood up with 3-6, but was finally defeated with the score 1-2 (2/6, 6/4, 5/10).

This has been the 2^nd title of men's doubles of Hoang Nam, ce entering the professional career at tournaments of Men’s Futures under World ITF Tennis Federation. At the Men's Futures Vietnam F5 hosted in TDM City, Hoang Nam was teammate of Nguyen Hoang Thien and won the men's doubles championship. Also at this tournament, Hoang Nam took the championship of men's singles to make spectacular advancements in ATP ranking (from 903 to 701 of the world and now is 629).

With the championship of men's doubles at F9, which is the final tournament of the nine Men's Futures Vietnam tournaments hosted by Binh Duong from July to now) and reached the quarter-final of men's singles, Hoang Nam will receive about 6 points to make a new leap in the ATP ranking. Ly Hoang Nam had a “harvest” season with 1 championship and 3 cups, especially many valuable experiences!
