Volunteer activities for making traffic roads

Right from early morning, hundreds of thousands of youths in blue green and blue shirts gathered at Chanh Phu Hoa commune of Ben Cat district to make rural roads. In a short time, rural roads became more beautiful and cleaner. Youths and unionists from 3 units such as the provincial Youth Union, provincial Army Force and provincial Public Security joined hands to make up these rural roads with the total length of 600 meters.

Meanwhile, a sport festival took place at Ben Cat district Culture Center. The festival’s participants competed in 2 events of football and swimming. At the football ground, football matches of 10 teams with more than 100 players from 7 districts, townships took place lively whilst 60 athletes divided into 8 teams participated in a swimming contest at Phu Dong pre-school’s swimming pool.

Many activities bound for community

In the meantime, at My Phuoc general hospital in Ben Cat district, after showing up Ben Cat district Young Doctor Club’s Youth Clinic, youths of the clinic offered free health check-ups and medicines for more than 100 local people.

The Youth Clinic has been operated under volunteer for the community and the clinic’s doctors and nurses have worked 7 days per week to cater for local patients.

Meanwhile, a charity house granting ceremony took place at Long Nguyen commune. Le Thi Bich Tuyen’s old house is now replaced by a new and wide one worth of over VND50mil, VND30mil of which is funded by the provincial Young Entrepreneur’s Society and VND5mil by Sabmiller Vietnam Co.Ltd. Ending the morning was a gift visit to Sunflower Center for orphans.

A lively festive night

A music show with revolutionary songs was performed by youths and unionists of the mentioned 3 units. The music program included main parts such as a cooperation signing ceremony between the mentioned 3 units and many more. This cooperation is to show solidarity between units and local youths and people.   

To encourage the spirit of fondness of learning and connect dreams for poor students, Doan Thi Lien awards 2013 were granted to 28 underprivileged talented students.

Contributing to local Youth Union’s matureness includes role of excellent leaguers. In 2013, 8 typical leaguers and 8 typical clubs, teams and groups were honored for their excellent achievements for the local youth movements.

In 2009, the provincial Youth Union received the State President’s third class labor order. Over the past years, the provincial Youth Union has constantly received merit certificates from the central Vietnam Youth Union.
