On occasion of the 83rd Vietnamese Women Union’s anniversary (October 20th 1930 – October 20th 2013), many compelling cultural activities take place in the province.On October 18th, Hiep An ward’s Don Ca Tai Tu (Southern Amateur Music) Club organized an amateur music show at 5 Huynh restaurant in Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Hiep an ward, TDm City. The show comprised meaningful performances praising women, heroic Vietnames mothers in resistance wars from Don Ca Tai Tu Club of Dinh Hoa eard, Tan An commune, and Hiep An ward.On October 19th, Apparel Far Eastern Company in VSIP industrial park, Thuan An town held a cultural contest with participation of the company’s workers singing and dancing in solo, duet, trio, groups about the Party, uncle Ho, the country and Vietnamese women etc.On the evening of October 19th, a cultural show takes place at Hiep Thanh ward People’s Committee with voices from the mass, namely local Don Ca Tai Tu Club, art troupes.On October 20th, provincial Retirement Club holds the contest of Men in Kitchen 2013. Retired male elderly as contestants prepare a 10-people family meal with VND600,000. Many interesting cultural performances will also take place to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day.Also on this occasion, Tan Uyen district Culture – Information Office will organize Singing Contest 2013 at district Political Training Center on October 20th and 21st. The contest is on the theme of praising women, draws participation of 25 local units with 74 performances.On October 25th, 26th and 27th, Cai Luong (Reformed Theatre) Contest 2013 will take place at Tan Uyen district Political Training Center. This is a practical activity held annually by district Culture Sport – Information Center on Vietnamese Women’s Day in order to uphold and develop the original national art. Reported by M.
