The Moc Chau national tourism site in the northern province of Son La received over 60,000 visitors between April 25 and May 1, an increase of 15,000 visitors from the corresponding period last year.
Many of the site’s popular tourist attractions such as Dai Yen waterfalls, the heart-shaped tea hills, the 5D-technology glass bridge, Happy Land, and Chimi strawberry garden were packed with crowds of tourists.
The cool climate and pure air in the region is also thought to have contributed to the sharp increase in the number of visitors to the region.
According to local authorities, despite an influx of tourists, hiking prices in tourism services have not been raised while social orders and safety for tourists have been ensured at a number of popular entertainment sites.
These factors have helped to turn Moc Chau into an ideal destination for both local and foreign visitors.
Nguyen Thi Hoa, vice chairwoman of Moc Chau district’s People’s Committee, said the district plans to boost tourism activities this year and improve the region’s tourism products in the time ahead.
The tourism companies in the region will also organize tours in association with hi-tech agriculture and culture in future.
