Under the campaign of “Building friendly schools, active pupils” launched by provincial Department of Education and Training, Ngo Quyen primary school in Dau Tieng district’s Dau Tieng township has implemented a lot of effective and practical activities. This is one of the province’s units recognized as a school meeting standards of the campaign with excellent ranking.

Nguyen Thi Hoa, Principal of Ngo Quyen primary school said that the school has always maintained close and friendly relations with parents to create a friendly, green, nice, safe and hi-quality learning environment. Particularly, the school over time made dissemination of information about the importance and significance of the campaign of “Building friendly schools, active pupils” at meetings with parents. The school also sent its plan on the campaign to the representative board of parents to collect their ideas for better implementation.

So far, the school’s managing board has assigned fine arts teachers the task of guiding pupils to draw pictures to hang them on the wall and made a board writing about Ngo Quyen national hero’s biography. This has aimed to create pleased and friendly feeling among pupils when going to the school.

Gym teachers have also actively organized folk games such as hopping, chess, mancala, jumping in a bag…for pupils. Especially, pupils have always been educated about observing regulations at the school and in public places. The school has also helped pupils train their habits of making courteous behaviors to all people, uniting and supporting their friends, knowing to keep public assets while attaching special importance to building up a good relation among pupils.

To improve its educational quality, the school has regularly held special subjects on preparing lesson plans by computer, applying technology information into  teaching….among teachers. Teachers have made efforts to enhance their qualifications. The school has also launched and taken part in all competitions on internet and those organized by the sector; excelled at training good pupils and offering  extra help to weak ones…

According to Mrs.Hoa, the school has built culture behavioral regulations among members and regularly monitored and assessed their implementation; educated pupils about their responsibility to school, family and society via extracurricular activities; made dissemination of information about food safety and hygiene among them; realized a program to sign commitments on preventing social evils and ensuring traffic safety among 100% of pupils…”.

With the above efforts in the implementation of the campaign “Building friendly schools, active pupils”, Ngo Quyen primary school has been recognized as a nationally-standardized school at first degree by provincial People’s Committee and it has also been recognized as a school meeting standards of the campaign “Building friendly school, active pupils” with excellent ranking by provincial Department of Education and Training.
