Despite difficult circumstance, Nguyen Minh Viet born in Dinh An commune, Dau Tieng district in 1997 has become the first athlete winning the gold medal at the Binh Duong provincial young cyclists tournament. Viet took part in aptitude team of the provincial Sport and Gymnastics Gifted School in 2012. After nearly one year of practice in the professional environment as well as thanks to enthusiastic instruction of coaches, Viet won a gold medal for individual category and a gold medal for men’s team category at the past national youth cycling tournament.

As a coach of Viet, coach Nguyen Truong Thanh shared “Viet is always vanguard in helping new incomers as well as works hard to the highest achievement for himself and team”.

 

At present, Viet has participated in the "Return to the An Giang Countryside" cycling tour 2014 which is held on May 19-27. Viet will in July take part in the national cycling tournament which is held at Binh Duong province.

 

Secret for gaining high achievements lies in will and effort, according to Viet. Like other athletes, Viet has made greater efforts to ensure academic results. Asked about his other ambition, Viet joyfully said that he is always to be a cycling coach.
