Nguyen Nam Cuc ranks first in type A at 2nd stage of 3rd open BTV cycling race

A ceremony to open the second stage of the third open Binh Duong Television (BTV) Cycling Tournament-Becamex IDC Cup 2016 has just organized at Binh Duong new city-based Convention-Exhibition Center. Attending the event were Ngo Quang Vinh, Vice-Chairman of the Viet Nam Cycling and Sport Motors Federation; Le Huu Phuoc, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of sectors, departments in the province.

This year’s tournament has absorbed nearly 200 cyclists from 18 clubs nationwide. Beginning from March 26 to November 26, 2016, it includes 5 stages with a total length of more than 300 km.

The 68-km second stage of the tournament began from the center of Binh Duong new city to Thuan An town. After a total of 1:39:33, three national cyclists, namely Nguyen Nam Cuc of Saigon Velo, Huynh Mai Duy of Tan Phu club and Mai Cong Hieu of Gau Vang team finished in first, second and third of type A, respectively with the average speed of 40.984 km/hour.

Nguyen Do Dung of Gau Vang team took the lead of type B. Le Dinh Quan of Dinamo Thanh Binh and Nguyen Quang Vinh of Saigon Velo ranked second and third in this type, respectively.

In the event of type B for elderly cyclists, Le Dinh Quang of Dinamo Thanh Binh took first position. Second and third positions went to Nguyen Quang Vinh of Saigon Velo and Vu Quoc Hai of Tin Tin 108 club, respectively.

The third stage of the tournament from Binh Duong new city to Tan Uyen town and North Tan Uyen district is expected to take place on July ahead.
