Update: 16-07-2014 | 00:00:00
“I will try my best to learn and become a doctor so that I could cure poor people”. That is the wish of Nguyen Thieu Khang, who is a pupil of class 7A1 of Minh Hoa secondary school in Dau Tieng district.Thieu Khang has grown up thanks to his mother’s care without a father. Being aware of her love for him, he always tries hard to learn well at school. Besides his self-study time at home, he also helps his mother in their small business. When we ask about his method to study well, especially in English, he answered: “I always concentrate on teacher’s explanation in class, and ask teachers what I don’t understand. Especially, I usually answer to questions of teachers, and review previous lessons at home. To learn well English, firstly it is affection for this subject, and then I read English books and watch animated cartoon with English subtitle”.Due to his continuous efforts of himself, Khang has achieved many remarkable academic results: 7 consecutive years of excellent pupils, the first prize of the provincial mathematics contest through internet, Ho Van Men award, the first prize of district chess contest, earning the title of “Good Children of Uncle Ho”, and many other awards.Teacher Du Thi Nghi of Minh Hoa school said: “Khang is more mature than children of his age. He talks and communicates in a polite and composed manner. Although Khang does not have to take extra class, he studies well all subjects, particularly English and mathematics. He also does well in Young Pioneer’s activities at school, and is the best Young Pioneer leader of the district”.Reported by N.Huong, H.Nhung – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
