North Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee has just held a meeting to approve a project on ecotourism development in association with the local cultural-historical relics.
The objectives of the project are to focus on tourism sites with numerous tourists; design tours to orchards in association with the local historical and cultural relics; welcome 10,000 tourists for the period of 2018-2020…
Under the project, the district will tap the local potential on natural tourism, historical-cultural relics; develop tourism products that are special agricultural ones (including orange, pomelo, tangerine), contributing to creating on-site jobs for the local laborers. The district will also bend on promoting ecotourism; work with investors of sectors, departments in the province to hasten the progress of construction of works, namely the memorial site of the War Zone D, the Doc Chua archaeological relic site, the memorial site of the Bong Trang-Nha Do victory, the Da Ban lake…, to serve tourists’ needs; mobilize all resources for overall planning to absorb investment capital for tourism development, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Tran Van Phuong, Vice-Chairman of North Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee stressed that the local authorities at all levels need to boost dissemination of information about the importance of tourism development; make a plan on training managerial officials at district and grassroots levels for the local tourism sector; team up with tourism centers, owners of the orchards to organize tours to cultural-historical relics in association with enjoying the local famous agricultural products. He also suggested the local functional agencies to set up a database to popularize the local tourism site, historical-cultural relics and call for investors to get involved in the local tourism development.
