On 29th June, the opening ceremony of the 19th Eastern Singing Festival 2020 took place at Nguyen Hue pedestrian zone (HCM City).

The festival attracted the participation of provinces and cities in the southeastern region: Ho Chi Minh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc Province, Dong Nai, Ninh Thuan, Tay Ninh.
Binh Duong participated in the festival with a program named "From the past to the future", consisting of 5 sections: Singing dancing "Tiếng vọng từ quá khứ", solo singing "Quê hương một khúc dân ca", dancing "Xây nên những ước mơ", male group singing "Quê hương ngày mới", singing dancing "Thành phố ước mơ". Besides, Binh Duong also took part in the modern dance competition with a dancing performance "Love story" and an exhibition stall of "Colors of the Southeast".

The festival was hosted by Cultural Department under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to create a chance for artists, actors in the region to meet, learn from each other in the editing, staging and performing. Thereby encouraging cultural art movements in southeastern provinces and cities to develop effectively and practically.
