Provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation, on Sept.14, forwarded the 2nd conference honoring outstanding collectives and individuals in the voluntary blood donation campaign between 2008 and 2010.
As of Sept.2010, the whole province had a total of 29,283 people taking part in voluntary blood donation with 29,293 units of blood given. During the 2008 and 2010 period, provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation honored 27 collectives and 57 individuals for their good performance in the mobilization and education for voluntary blood donation; 58 families and 420 individuals who gave blood many times.
On this occasion, superior Buddhist monk Thich Minh Thien, head of provincial Buddhist Sangha and head of Chau Thoi pagoda also donated 144 gifts to 144 families and individuals for their achievements in voluntary blood donation.
Addressing the conference, provincial vice-chairman Huynh Van Nhi who is also head of provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation praised collectives and individuals who made contributions to the local voluntary blood donation campaign over the past time while saying that through many activities, the local voluntary blood donation campaign was implemented effectively and gained positive results…
