Poor patients under free eye surgery

A delegation of doctors from HCM city-based Cho Ray Hospital and provincial General Hospital yesterday provided free cataract surgeries for 130 poor patients in the province (photo).

  

The charity program has a total expense of more than VND100mln, funded by donors, businesses across the province via provincial Sponsoring Society for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients.

 

It is expected that provincial Sponsoring Society for Disable People, Orphans and Poor Patients will further organize the second stage of the cataract surgery program for poor patients in the province in September ahead.

 

Previously, the society cooperated with provincial General Hospital to provide free medical check-ups and medicine for 2,000 disable people, orphans and poor patients with total expense of more than VND300mln on the occasion of Vietnam’s Day for the Disabled (April 18).
