Binh Duong has so far reached a positive change in the socialization task for the local sports field. This is due to proper policies, contributing to mobilizing many social sources to get involved in this field.

Binh Duong now has many businesses, organizations and individuals getting involved in construction and investment of material facilities in the sports field with the big size under the socialization trend. Many investment models in this field such as the volleyball court of Binh Duong Building Materials and Construction Company in Di An town; the Becamex complex of 6 tennis courts in TDM city (including one court with standards for organizing national and international tournaments); the 104-ha Song Be Golf course; the 165.41 ha-Phu My Golf course, the Binh Duong New City’s sports center with 10 tennis courses, 2 artificial grass soccer fields, 5 soccer fields for 11 players, 2 basketball courts, 1 sporting event hall, 1 swimming pool and 1 gymnasium; 40 tennis courts across the province have worked effectively.

There are also 70% of the local sports facilities effectively operating with a wide range of models, comprising of table tennis club, badminton club, billiards club... Especially, the model of artificial grass soccer field has recently loomed large across the province. The whole province is now home to around 160 artificial grass soccer fields with a total investment capital of between VND450mln and 500mln each.

Nguyen Phu Yen, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: “The socialization for the sports field is a favorable condition for the local people to take exercise. The development of infrastructure facilities in the sports field from the task has contributed to making favorable conditions for the organization of tournaments at district/provincial and regional levels. This has also enriched the spiritual life of the local people, contributing to stabilizing social political situation, training athletes for the local sports movement, organizing sports tournaments…

Possibly speaking, the development of private sports centers has also contributed to solving a thorny problem on material facilities for the local sports field. Over the past years, Binh Duong hosted national and international sports tournaments, thanks to the socialization task promoted. One of the highlights in the local socialization task for sports field is a good cooperation between provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Binh Duong Radio-Television Station since 2000. Accordingly, many large-scale tournaments, namely “marathon in celebration of new year”, “international football tournament-BTV Cup”, “international cycling tournament-BTV cup”…have been maintained well.

With advantage in propaganda work, Binh Duong Radio-Television Station has absorbed a large number of viewers in and out of the province for sports tournaments held by it and other units. This has met enterprises’ high hopes in advertisement of their trademarks via sponsoring sports tournaments held by Binh Duong.
