Preliminary round of television singing competition successfully organized in Berlin

The preliminary round of the Television Singing Contest (Morning Star) for contestants in Berlin and the surrounding area took place on July 6 at Dong Xuan Trade Centre in Berlin, Germany. Thuy Dung, one of six candidates chosen for the semi-final round The event was attended by Mr. Bui Ngoc Toan, Minister Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin, representatives of organizations, donors and many overseas Vietnamese people, and friends in Berlin and from many places in Germany and the Czech Republic.Speaking at the preliminary round, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, co-head of the organizing committee of the Morning Star Contest in Berlin, emphasized the pride and honour of first organization of the Morning Star contest in Europe.The judges chose six excellent contestants for the semi-final contest of the Morning Star Contest in Europe.Speaking after the contest, First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin Nguyen Thi Bich Thao, co-head of the organizing committee of the Morning Star Contest in Berlin, said that the success of the preliminary round proved the correct policy of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in bringing the Morning Star Contest to Europe. She also added that the Morning Star Contest is a useful playground for overseas Vietnamese people in Europe to exchange, learn and express love for the homeland through singing.After the preliminary round in Prague on June 23, and the preliminary round in Berlin on July 6 and in Munich on July 14, the semi-final and final rounds will be held on July 19 - 20 in Berlin to select the nine best candidates for the national final round in the homeland.CPV
