Update: 01-04-2021 | 11:53:08

A conference to review the local organization of mass cultural-artistic festivals and contests from 2019 to 2020 was held at provincial Center of Culture and Arts on the morning of March 31.

Over the past 2 years, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST) organized 13 cultural-artistic contests and festivals. The results of organizing the competitions showed that  the local mass cultural and artistic movements reached many positive changes and strongly developed in some localities. They also contributed to improving the cultural and spiritual lives of the local people as well as preserving and promoting various types of folk culture under the spirit of the Resolution of 8th Party Central Committee’s 5th session.

Along with results achieved, according to provincial DoCST, there are still shortcomings for change. The local relevant agencies need to have orientation and innovation in the organization of the contests in order to keep abreast of the needs and actual situation of the local cultural - cultural mass movements.

Speaking at the conference, Le Van Thai, Deputy Director of provincial DoCST  highly appreciated the efforts by the units in fostering the local cultural – artistic movements. He also suggested the units to focus on building the local core forces to increasingly improve the quality of cultural and artistic movements, meeting the local people’s needs of enjoying cultural and spiritual life, serving the local political tasks.
