Province-based universities have planned to enroll students in 2012. Upon their specific characteristics, they had made preparations for this year’s enrollment season, including opening new majors, consolidating training quality, investing in material facilities…

 

In 2011, Thu Dau Mot University fulfilled its enrollment plan with 1,200 university targets and 600 college ones, showing that the school made prestige in the society.

 

The school has asked for the Ministry of Education and Training to open additional 10 new majors and if being approved soon they will be put into enrollment this year, including urban management, pre-school education, primary education, natural resources-environment management, finance-banking, chemicals, Chinese language, industrial management and pedagogy.

   Consultancy for enrollment of 2011

Binh Duong University for Economics and Technology last year also organized entrance exams with 6 majors. This year, the school will continue organizing its university entrance exam in two phases.

 

With its over 14-year development, Binh Duong University has so far lured many students from provinces and cities nationwide with 16 majors.

 

It is known that the two schools this year will not open new majors and only focus on improving the quality of training programs.

 

Before the annual enrollment seasons, universities frequently provide vocational consultancy for students. Hoang Trong Quyen, head of Thu Dau Mot University’s Training Department said that the school will open an enrollment consultancy campaign from Feb.12 to late March. The school has also planned to provide such consultancy for pupils in the southeastern, central Highlands and Mekong Delta regions…

 

In mid January, Binh Duong University for Economics and Technology organized a vocational consultancy program for pupils at Tran Van On high school in Thuan An town, helping them select careers suitable to their ability and introducing its majors to them.

 

Other universities namely Mien Dong, Binh Duong…have also devised vocational consultancy plans for pupils and got ready for the 2012 university-college enrollment season.

 

Possibly speaking, material facilities play an important role in education-training activities. Province-based universities have paid attention to investing in material facilities. Particularly, Thu Dau Mot University is building its new facility at the Thoi Hoa urban estate in Ben Cat district. Binh Duong University for Economics and Technology this year will also put its five-storey facility in Thuan An town’s Thuan Giao ward into use.
