As of Sept.8, Di An district was the first locality in the province with no new outbreaks of blue-pig disease over the past 21 days, according to Truong Van Duc, head of provincial Veterinary Department. The remaining districts also saw reduction of the disease, except Dau Tieng district.
Provincial Veterinary Department has cooperated with its veterinary stations to actively curb blue-pig disease; further make disinfection of breeding facilities and tighten quarantine over pig herds. So far, there have been 69 infected out of 91 communes and wards, including 7 communes and wards with no new outbreaks of the disease over the past 21 days.
