Province’s 2012 Open Table Tennis Tournament for Children and Teenagers closes successfully

After one-day competition, the 2012 Binh Duong Open Table Tennis Tournament For Children and Teenagers has just closed at provincial Table Tennis Club with many successes exceeding the expectations of the organizing board.

 Nguyen Quoc Huy of Binh Duong club won first prize in the boys’ U7-U9 event, followed by Nguyen Huynh Tan Phat of Lai Thieu club and Vu Viet Khoi of Thu Duc club, respectively. Meanwhile, in the girls’U7 and U9 event, Duong Thi Quynh Nhu and To Gia Man of Binh Thanh club came in first and second; Dinh Tu Anh of Binh Duong club came in third.

First and second prizes in the girls’U10 and U11 event went to To Gia My and Nguyen Kieu Thuy Tien while Tran Gia Nhu of Lai Thieu club won third prize. In the boys’U10 and U11 event, Nguyen Hao Nhien of Binh Duong Physical Training and Sports School for the Gifted grasped first prize, followed by Doan Hong Hieu Kien of Binh Thanh club and Ta Hau Dang Tinh of Lieu Thieu club, respectively.

Meanwhile, first, second and third prizes in the boys’U12 and U13 event belonged to San Chi Thong of Binh Duong Physical Training and Sports School for the Gifted, La Truong Thinh of Thuan An club and Nguyen Minh Tu of Binh Duong Physical Training and Sports School for the Gifted, respectively. In the girls’U12 and U13 event, Bui Thi Minh Trang of Thu Duc club won first prize, followed by Nguyen Huynh Gia Thy and Vuong Nguyen Anh Thi, respectively.

This year’s tournament absorbed nearly 120 players from 9 table tennis clubs in and out of the province, including Thu Duc, Binh Thanh, Dong Nai, Di An, Thuan An, Binh Duong Physical Training and Sports School for the Gifted, Binh Duong Cultural House for Children, Lai Thieu and Binh Duong.

Pham Nguyen Con, deputy head of Binh Duong Table Tennis Club said that this year’s tournament closed successfully, contributing to creating an useful playground for children during the summer. This was also a chance for the local table tennis players to learn experience in competition…
