Strong IT application in archives

A representative of provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that in the face of the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic, the sector has directed its divisions and units to increase the application of information technology (IT) in professional activities. Noticeably, the sector has implemented IT projects and those in keeping records and documents implemented by it over the past time.

On the basis of modern applications, the sector’s specialized departments and units have installed and re-systematized the entire transmission line, and handled problems on database system; updated and upgraded firewall equipment to ensure the network's information security; opportunely repaired problems on data storage devices at a number of its units, ensuring that their databases are safe. Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment has also assigned its Information Technology Center the tasks of supporting departments and specialized units in configuring online virtual private network (VPN) with teamview and ultraview on computer devices to ensure online working at home during the pandemic, setting up unit prices for maintaining and operating the sector’s information system, and unit prices for setting up softwares and databases...
