Around 400 Youth Union members and students in Danang city on July 21 held an exchange with 160 overseas Vietnamese delegates attending the current 2013 Vietnam Summer Camp.
With special art performances, the exchange helped strengthen solidarity between young Vietnamese people and their peers coming from different nations around the world, uphold the Vietnamese youth’s spirit of preserving the nation’s tradition, and contribute to building a civilized and prosperous Vietnamese nation.
The 2013 Vietnam Summer Camp has been launched for ten years by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (COVA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event aims to help young Vietnamese expatriates better understand the origin of Vietnam’s different ethnic groups, thus enhancing their close bond with the fatherland.
