Summer youth volunteer campaign with significant activities

As of now, provincial summer youth volunteer campaign 2020 has implemented such significant activities as implementing public healthcare, taking care of needy people and carrying out works making homeland more beautiful.

For community’s health

Last week, provincial General Hospital’s Youth Union provided free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for 100 poor households and 2 heroic Vietnamese mothers; donated a recreational area to pupils at Dakia primary school C; offered wheelchairs to youths hit by traffic accidents in Bu Gia Map district’s Dakia commune in Binh Phuoc province.

People are eager to exchange plastic waste for green trees under the model of “Bring trees home” of Thuan An city’s Youth Union

Whilst, the Youth Union of Thuan An city’s Health Center worked with units to organize a festival “Young physicians following Uncle Ho’s teachings, volunteering for community’s health”. Accordingly, the Youth Union provided free medical check-ups, medicine for more than 200 policy beneficiary families and people with difficult circumstances. The Youth Unions of Binh Nham ward, sub-Department of Tax… also donated more than 200 gifts to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people.

The Youth Union of provincial Department of Health also joined hands with the Youth Union of provincial Reproductive Healthcare Center and Lai Thieu ward’s Women’s Union in Thuan An city to provide free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for more than 100 women at Lai Thieu ward’s Health Station…

For social welfare

Under this year’s summer youth volunteer campaign, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have attached special importance to taking care of teenagers and children with difficult circumstances.

Nguyen Phu Thinh, Secretary of provincial Agency-Business Bloc’s Youth Union said that the Bloc’s Youth Union branches have implemented many significant activities during the campaign. Particularly, the Youth Union branch of provincial Department of Foreign Affairs donated a “red tie” house to Ho Thi Nuong, a 2nd grader of Thuong Tan primary school with a total expense of VND80million. The Youth Union branch of provincial Labor Union offered 2 learning corners, including desks, chairs, fans, school bags, learning tools…to the offspring of workers with difficult circumstances. Meanwhile, the Personnel Sub-Union of province-based Industrial Parks under the bloc’s Youth Union offered a house of compassion to a needy youth, 300 gifts to people and 3 scholarships to ethnic children in Lam Ha district in the central highlands province of Lam Dong…

The Youth Union of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company also built a recreational area for the offspring of workers belonging to the Phuoc Hoa-Cambodia’s Kampong Thom project; engaged activities in environmental hygiene, donated houses of compassion to needy youths…

Making homeland more beautiful

Also last weekend, the Youth Union of Thuan An city carried out “For homeland river”, “Making city nicer by power poles with the new cover” works. Accordingly, the local youngsters cleaned up streets, remove illegal ads while organizing a model “bringing trees home” by exchanging plastic waste for green trees…Truong Van Khanh, Vice-Secretary of the city’s Youth Union said that all the above activities aimed to propagandize and improve public awareness of protecting the environment, practicing civilized urban lifestyle, building up a more civilized and beautiful Thuan An.

TDM city’s Youth Union also got involved in planting flowers, green trees on Nguyen Chi Thanh street in Hiep An ward; carried out works to beautiful power poles…, thereby contributing to enhancing public awareness of environmental protection.

Possibly speaking, all the above volunteer activities of the local youngsters have contributed to taking care of the spiritual and material lives of disadvantaged people; changing the local urban image towards a civilized and modern city; showed the role and responsibility of youths to the nation and society in the current period.
