In order to help people bettering their living, in 2014, Tan Uyen town built 10 Great Unity houses with a total cost of VND497 million. During the year, the town carried out comprehensively poverty reducing measures, decreasing poor households ratio from 0.69% by 0.44%. At present, the town has 102 poor households.
In addition, activities taking care of children in difficult circumstances have been performed well. In addition to provincial funding, the town, communes, wards mobilized contributions from socialization to give gifts, scholarships, textbooks to pupils and students on the occasion of new school year.
