Tan Uyen excels at taking care of the poor

Tan Uyen city currently has 519 poor households out of 30,415 households, accounting for 1.70% of total. In the first 9 months of 2023, the city’s People's Committee excelled at taking care of the local poor people.

Particularly, Tan Uyen city offered 532 gifts to poor, near-poor households and those just escaping poverty from the local State budget with a total amount of VND 798 million. The locality also supported electricity bills for 536 poor households with a total amount of more than VND 136 million; coordinated with the People's Committees of communes and wards to issue 1,136 health insurance cards to poor households, near-poor households and those working in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fishery with average living standards; coordinated with the Tzuchi Association to give more than VND 33 million for 6 local disadvantaged households…
