On July 24, Tan Uyen town’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with the People's Committee of Tan Phuoc Khanh ward held a “zero dong” market-day for needy people and workers at lodging facilities.
At the market-day, the organizers presented 180 gifts worth VND300,000 each, including rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, vegetables and fruits..., to poor households and workers, especially those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The total value of the market-day was more than VND 54 million. Previously, the town’s Red Cross Society also coordinated with the People's Committee of Thai Hoa ward to organize a “zero dong” market-day with gifts worth VND35 million for 100 local people and workers with difficult circumstances. This was a meaningful series of humanitarian activities, contributing to taking care of the local people with difficult circumstances.
