After six-month competition, the 4th provincial Sports Festival 2014 concluded on the afternoon of June 6.

This year’s sports festival absorbed more than 4,000 athletes from 21 units. They competed in 23 events for 222 sets of medals.

As a result, TDM city topped the event with a total of 53 gold medals, 31 silver medals and 26 bronze medals. It was followed by Thuan An town with 39 gold medals, 31 silver medals and 35 bronze medals; Ben Cat town with 20 gold medals, 27 silver medals and 17 bronze medals.

Provincial People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 29 collectives and 34 individuals for their excellent achievements at the sports festival. 5 outstanding collectives also received the certificates of merit from provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
