The Organizing Committee of major holidays of Binh Duong province has issued a plan to organize the 95th death anniversary of Nguyen Sinh Sac - father of President Ho Chi Minh (hereinafter referred to as the death anniversary).
The death anniversary is expected to take place on November 26 and 27, 2024 (October 26 and 27 of the lunar calendar), at the national relic Hoi Khanh Pagoda (Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), hosted by the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Executive Committee of Binh Duong Provincial Buddhist Sangha and Hoi Khanh Pagoda.
Memorial program will include: The first ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m. on November 26, according to traditional folk rituals and Buddhist prayers; the main death anniversary ceremony will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on November 27, according to traditional folk rituals. During the main memorial service, there will be a screening of a documentary about the life and career of Nguyen Sinh Sac, a ceremony to offer gifts, incense, and commemorate him...; the post-ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on November 27 according to traditional folk rituals.
In addition to the ceremonies, the memorial service will also include a special exhibition about Nguyen Sinh Sac. The exhibition will recreate the space where Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac dispensed medicine to treat people at Hoi Khanh Pagoda.
The death anniversary is held to propagate and educate on the tradition of patriotism, the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" and the deep gratitude of the people of Binh Duong province to the father of President Ho Chi Minh; he was a patriot who spread patriotism to all classes of people in the country in general and the people in Binh Duong province in particular. Thereby, fostering and promoting the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, and national pride for all classes of people, especially the young generation; promoting patriotism, preserving and developing the cultural identity of the nation, promoting the value of the national relic Hoi Khanh Pagoda, and aiming to build a memorial area for Nguyen Sinh Sac in the coming time.
