The Binh Duong Television Singing Contest for the Elderly held by Binh Duong Television has become a necessary playground for the elderly in Southern provinces on occasion of the International Day of Older Persons (October 1st). The competition was exhilarating, joyful with participation of 15 art troupes and 90 performances. The results of this contest were also surprising and interesting. Performance of "Bai ca Truong Sa - Hoang Sa" of Giai dieu que huong Club - Vung Tau  Gathering to sing and communicate with each other in a warm, pleasing atmosphere, and to capture the spirit of “high age higher will” and the motto “Living happily, healthily, usefully” has been practical achievements of Binh Duong Television Elderly Singing Contest in the last 10 years.The final round of the 11th BD Television Elderly Singing Contest 2013 took place on September 29th at provincial Cultural Center and drew a lot of attention of people. 6 art troupes having highest points entered the final round. They were: Binh Minh Club – HCM City, Hai Dang Club – Vung Tau, Bien Hoa – Dong Nai traditional art troupe, Ninh Thuan Elderly art troupe, Giai dieu que huong Club – Vung tau, Hoa Truong Son Club – HCM City.Most of songs performed at the final round were on theme of praising patriotism and pride in the country. Finally, the first prize belonged to Hoa Truong Son Club – HCM City; Giai dieu que huong Club and Ninh Thuan Elderly art troupe got the second prize. Bien Hoa – Dong Nai traditional art troupe, Hai Dang Club and Binh Minh Club obtained the third prize. The console prizes were conferred on the 9 remaining are troupes.In addition, organizers gave 3 special prizes, including: the best singing about Vietnamese islands prize to female groups singing “Bach Long Vi – Dao que huong” (Bach Long Vi – Home island” from Giai dieu que huong Club; the best duo – trio singing performance prize to Hai Dang Club with “Tinh du Huyen Tran” (Huyen Tran lovestory); the best solo singing performance prize to Hoa Truong Son Club with “Duong Truong Son xe anh qua”.Reported by T.Van, T.Trang – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
