Three individuals to be nominated for "Excellent Artist"

On Nov 3, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting of appraisal council of the title "Excellent Artist" in field of intangible cultural heritage.

At the meeting, members of the appraisal council commented on accomplishment records of 3 individuals, who were nominated for "Excellent Artist" title in field of intangible culture, including: Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh, category of "đờn ca tài tử - cải lương"; Nguyen Van Sang, "đờn ca tài tử - nhạc lễ", and Nguyen Minh Tri to hold the intangible legacy of "Roi Tấn Nhất" work of demonstration martial art. The council held a vote in accordance with the prescribed process and procedures. The result was 100% of the council's members agreed to award title "Excellent Artist" to the above 3 individuals.

Before that, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism consulted members of provincial Literature and Art Association and Traditional Martial Arts Association of Thu Dau Mot City. The three above artists are affiliated with these associations. 100% members of these association agreed with to award title "Excellent Artist" to the above individuals.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen requested Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to complete the records in accordance with regulations to submit to the council at ministerial level for consideration. Particularly for the nominated artists, it is necessary to continue to consolidate their achievements, preserve and actively convey and promote the intangible cultural heritage values at their locality.
