Thu Thao narrowly wins long jump gold medal

Bui Thi Thu Thao won the women’s long jump gold medal by the smallest of margins today (July 7) at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships ongoing in the city of Odisha, India.

Thao’s best jump, 6.54 metres, was just good enough to beat her nearest competitor’s mark.

Meanwhile, Quach Cong Lich advanced to the final round of the men’s 400 metre with a time of 46.35 sec.
